Bones of Your Back

IMG_0537.JPG

Did you know your spine is made up of 33 individual bones, called vertebrae. They are stacked one on top of another to form what is called the spinal column. These vertebrae are numbered and divided into sections: cervical (neck), thoracic (mid back), lumbar (low back), sacrum, and coccyx (tailbone).

Did you know that chiropractors are trained specifically in the spine and the muscles that connect to the spine? We have a lot of new mothers that come into our clinic in Aledo, Texas that are experiencing upper back or mid back pain. Especially with pain radiating in between their shoulder blades. We call this “nursing back” or “new baby back” due to the extra stress and strain put on the mid back and upper back muscles from having to hold your infant and bending to change their numerous diapers. It’s all worth it in the end ;). Experiencing any upper back or mid back pain? Give us a call at 682-214-0408 to schedule an appointment to help you “get back” into shape. :)
